Collagen Induction Therapy & Platelet Rich Plasma
Collagen Induction Therapy or CITis a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles. Eclipse Micropen™ also creates superficial micro-channels which allow PRP(Platelet-Rich Plasma), topical gels, creams, or serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin.
The feeling associated with the Eclipse Micropen™ is similar to light sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable.
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues.
Platelet Rich PlasmaPlatelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is obtained from your own blood! It lifts, tightens, rejuvenates, improves pores and gives you a healthy younger looking glow
During this procedure, the provider will draw a similar amount of blood required for a basic lab test. The practitioner places the blood into a centrifuge and spins the blood at a very rapid rate to separate the Platelets from the other components of the blood.
The Serum is then injected or induced into the dermis via CIT.
Feeling associated with Platelet-Rich Plasma is tightness thought treated areas. Patients notice an immediate improvement in skins appearance. Results will continue to improve up to a year after the treatment.
